About Our Shop
Precision Auto Repair was founded in 1990 by Rick Alkinburgh to provide customers with state-of-the-art, reliable services. Before starting our shop, Rick was working for businesses that were not investing in the technology necessary to repair the vehicles coming. Wanting to provide customers with the service they deserve — and seeing where automotive technology was going — he decided to start out on his own.
Throughout the years, our business has grown and gained a loyal customer base. In 1994, we purchased our current location in Scotia, NY. This expanded the number of service bays and technicians on staff. We have never lost sight of our commitment to customer satisfaction first, and providing repairs done right the first time. To ensure we are always providing our customers with our best, we work to keep our technicians as educated as possible as to what’s coming in the future of auto repair.
Our Service Area & Capabilities
We are proud to welcome customers from Scotia and surrounding communities including: Scotia, Glenville, Schenectady, Clifton Park, Burnt Hills, and Amsterdam.
Our team utilizes the latest technology to ensure your repairs are done efficiently and professionally. We have seven computer scan tools which help us meet the needs of the vast array of vehicle manufacturers. Our technicians have the ability to reprogram most makes and models. Additionally, we use five different databases for repair information. We service all makes and models of cars and light trucks.
Repairs Done Right — The First Time
We do our best to create an environment that makes people feel comfortable. We want you to know your vehicle is in capable hands and we strive to provide you with thorough, efficient repairs and service. Our team knows a repair shop is the last place you want to be. We never sacrifice quality for quantity and work to make the repair process as painless as possible.
We have been awarded AAA’s Top Shop for Repairs, and all of our work is backed by NAPA and AAA for a minimum of one year and two for some. Our shop does offer free estimates for most repairs, but some do require extensive time and labor. These estimates are free when we perform the repairs. We also work with most extended service contracts.
